Help with the rules of beer pong?

My husband and I are moving into our new house and are having a get together this weekend. He wants to get a game of beer pong going but I haven’t got the slightest idea how to play. I guess there’s different versions/rules like the whole taking a shot rule before the game starts or something. Just wondering if anyone could clarify. thanks

The rules for the "drinking game" vary from house to house. They can be as complex or as simply as you wish. Whatever is the most fun for you at time is the way to go.

As far a standard set of rules, the person that said they don’t exist is very wrong. Many people are working toward making this game official.

The tournament rules can be found here:
http://inflatapong.com/rules.html – I would recommend taking these rules and adding "forced drinks" to turn it into a drinking game.

literally every1 plays differently! Like I dont even call it beer pong. To me its Beruit.

There are so many rules that you need to know. Girls can blow guys can finger Meaning if a ball goes in a cup and spins around the rim, you have the right to try and blow it out, guys have the right to try and grab it out with 1 finger. You cant shoot before the game starts. If you shoot and the ball doesnt bounce and some1 on the other team catches it you drink a cup. If it goes over the table without bouncing on your last shot you drink a cup…. I would just suggest you have your husband explain it to you. Everyone is WAY different. And you want to be playing the same wayt as they are

there is SO many different rules!! everytime we play theres some new rule popping up! we play:: the girls can blow/guys finger, if the ball makes it in the cup girls can blow it out etc. you cant pass the table to shoot. if you catch it they loose the 2nd ball. whoever wins other team has to drink all the cups…you can actually go to google and google beer pong rules for different websites.

  3. They are both right, there’s a billion ways to play.
We always do girls blow guys finger.
Also you can try to bounce the ball into the cup instead of just throwing, but you you do bounce it, the other team has the right to swat the ball away.
    Hope I helped!

  4. there aren’t really any standard rules for beer pong.
basically you will need some ping pong balls, the red plastic drinking cups ,these are important, they seem to be the standard for beer pong cups. and traditionally a ping pong table ( but i have been to some parties where they just used the dining room table).

setup is pretty straight forward one person stands at one end of the table and someone else at the other.
    you can play teams also.
then they take turns tossing the ping pong ball at each others cups if the ball goes in then you drink the contents of that cup and remove it from the table. try keeping a spare cup at both ends filled with clean water because the ball doesn’t always land on the table.

when you set up the cups you’ll want a triangle made out of six cups,
then when you get down to four i usually go into a diamond shape, three cups is another triangle, and then two is set up in a single file.

the winning team/person stays at the table while the losers rotate.

that’s basically it. have fun and be safe ( beer pong takes up a lot of beer so stock up)
